Rizzi is the oldest metalworking factory in Modena.
Founded in 1857 as a Cast Iron Foundry with the approval of the Dukes of Habsburg - Este to produce products for railways
contributed with his work to the inauguration of the Central Railway Station in 1859, the year in which Francesco V d'Este was forced
to flee while the citizens of Modena voted submission to Vittorio Emanuele II, the future king of Italy.
Since 1950 Rizzi began to specialize in the production of tannery machines to become the world leader in the sector of which
still holds the record today.
