    MULTIPLEX CONTACT 4.0 is a motorized chain conveyor equipped with trolley stop stations, for the assembly and finishing of footwear.

    If used in the assembly department, it is possible to insert heat treatment tunnels on each floor (humidification, ironing, cement drying, cold stabilization).

    Multiplex-Contact 4.0 is an "Industry 4.0" system as, thanks to a management software, it is possible to set the standard time of each operation, to then detect the actual production times, as well as to set the parameters of the conveyor and the machines linked to it. At the loading point of the conveyor, an operator selects on a PC the item to be placed on each trolley, in this way the software will know the standard times of each operation and the parameters of the heat treatment machines associated with the single trolley, allowing thus the self-regulation of the heat treatment machines and the automatic setting of the standard times in the individual stations.

    After loading the material on the trolley and choosing which item it is on the PC, the trolley automatically arrives at the first station, where it is put on hold thanks to a stop station, the oncoming trolleys will stop accumulating, thanks to a chain release system, assembled on the trolley itself. With a slight push, the operator moves the trolley from the stop station to the processing station, at this moment the software identifies which trolley it is and records the production time of the single operation, which it is stopped, once the operator finishes the job and gives a slight push to the trolley, which is hooked again to the conveyor chain, which will take it to the next stage.

    The Attiva 3200 buffing machine completes the range of through-feed continuous buffing machines by Bergi. Following the success of the 1800 and 2200 versions of the Attiva launched in 2019/2020, and in response to several requests for a model suitable for processing whole hides, this year we are presenting to our customers the 3200 model of our belt buffing machine. This model, too, stands out for its working precision and state-of-the-art technical construction quality. Among the main technical features, in addition to the unquestionably solid structure, since all Bergi buffing machines are equipped with their own base, we include the large opening of both the upper protection guard and the leather introduction system. Thanks to this last feature, both the buffing-paper change and the rubber roller replacement as well as cleaning and maintenance are particularly easy and fast, to the benefit of productivity. As well as all the latest generation models produced by Bergi S.p.A., the Attiva 3200 is also equipped with its own touch-screen display with internet connection to facilitate remote assistance and the uploading of recipes and working parameters.

    The Superstar T 3200 is a model that derives directly from the Supervario T, a machine that was presented to public at the Simac/Tanning Tech trade fair in February 2019, and which was largely appreciated by customers right from its debut. The Superstar T 3200 features all the construction characteristics of that model with the difference that the rollers changeover is not carried out by means of a gantry, but is fully automatic and is carried out by means of a revolving system. It is also possible to heat the installed rollers independently by equipping the machine with additional independent control units. The quality of the construction is guaranteed by the use of materials designed to offer durability over time, while the new technical solutions adopted, such as the pre-heating system on the feeding conveyor, the oversized counter-pressure roller and the latest generation electronics make the Superstar T 3200 a highly productive, versatile and safe machine with the highest standards of quality and embossing precision. The pre-heating system on the feeding conveyors allows both to reduce the thermal shock that the cold leather undergoes when meeting the hot operating roller and, for some articles, to process the leathers at a lower temperature of the operative roller. In this way, as well as obtaining a final article that is generally softer to the touch, the problems of finishing cuts, which are known to be generated by thermal shock, are avoided. Finally, the increased diameter of the counter-pressure roller allows, thanks to the 35% larger printing area compared to the models currently on the market, a significant increase in the overall productivity of the machine.

    With a combined system of evaporation, dehumidification and reactivation of water-based and solvent-based glues, on the sole and bottom of the shoe, with different temperatures, before the final pressing.

    Automated shoe production with knitted uppers for radical reduction of lead times in the development and production process

    Just like the fashion sector, the shoe industry is driven by short collection cycles and enormous pressure in terms of time and cost. In order to make processes faster and save on labour, two medium-sized German enterprises – KARL MAYER STOLL Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH and DESMA Schuhmaschinen GmbH – have developed an integrated solution that enables innovative shoe models to be manufactured using a highly efficient process. The process starts with the production of seamless, 3D-knitted uppers, which are then hardened in order to activate the functional yarns woven into them, before being attached directly to dual-layer sole constructions.

    The advantage of this method is that it minimises lead times in the development and production process and allows the machine settings to be adjusted for optimum product quality without any additional investment. The machine technologies used for the process – STOLL flat weft knitting and DESMA direct sole attachment technology – are already in widespread use in the shoe industry, for both innovative new products and mass production. Most significantly, the new solution reduces the number of time-consuming production steps required, such as making up the uppers and manually joining together uppers and soles made from different components. It is also a sustainable innovation, as the seamless manufacturing technique means there is no scrap or waste, so no resources go to waste. In addition to this, a seamless, 3D-knitted upper is more comfortable to wear as it is shaped to provide the perfect fit. Last but not least, productivity and pioneering design considerations have also been factored perfectly into the process. Thanks to the flat weft knitting machine and efficient sole attachment process, it is now possible to manufacture high-performance footwear with custom designs using industrial processes.

  • Innovation EVOPRESS XXL - EVOPRESS ROTARY PRESS FOR IRONING AND EMBOSSING

    The rotary press for ironing and printing uses the “Thermotech” revolutionary patented heating system of the anti-crease belt. This is able to preheat approximately one metre and half of the hide on both sides at the desired temperature up to 110 degrees centigrade before it comes into contact with the cylinder. The hide therefore, does not obtain heat only in the point where the felt belt and cylinder meet, but reaches the latter already at a significant temperature that can be adjusted as required, avoiding any possible thermal shock.Thus, working at lower and more prolonged temperatures, while simultaneously safeguarding the production speed, the Evopress XXL rotary press enables a more velvety touch in the ironing phase and prints the finished hides more deeply, without cuts and with more pronounced reliefs. The model XXL with double length in the pre heating improve the quality in enbossing leather.
